Arif Ahamed Abdul Samad is a Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in primary health care and a specialized focus in dermatology. He earned his Baccalaureate in Nursing from Ryerson University, Toronto (2009) and completed the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner program at Queen’s University (2014).
He began his career as a Diabetes Nurse Educator at community health centers in Toronto (2010) and served as a Nurse Practitioner at a NP-led clinic in Belleville from 2014 to 2023. He currently provides primary care services for patients of all ages at community health centers in Toronto and the Niagara region.
Arif’s interest in dermatology has led him to complete a Professional Diploma in General Dermatology and Skin Cancer Medicine, along with certificate courses in dermatopathology and dermoscopy. He has trained extensively with dermatologists and general surgeons across Ontario in skin disease management and surgical procedures, and he continues to pursue advanced education in dermatology.
In his practice, Arif provides consultations for diagnosis and management of skin conditions, performs skin biopsies and minor surgeries, manages skin cancer services, and triages patients to dermatologists as needed. He also oversees tele-dermatology services and provides training to colleagues seeking expertise in primary care dermatology, helping them gain practical skills in skin care and skin cancer medicine.
